This latest release
from Lifelike
Decals
features five different Ki-84 Hayates. This is Part 2 of a series dealing
with the Ki-84 Hayate in 1/72 scale.
The
5 aircraft include 3
from the home islands and one that operated over China and one that operated
over Indo-China from the fall of 1944 to August 1945.

Ki-84
Hayate Kou flown by Lt. Shuho Yamana of Army Transport Unit, 2nd
Hikotai, Ohta AB/Gunma Pref. in the fall of 1944. This aircraft
is natural metal all over with green blotches on the top side.
There is white tiger tail art on both sides of the tail. This
aircraft has never been published in literature or decals before.

Ki-84
Hayate Kou flown by Corporal Hajime Shimizu of 57th Shinbu-tai,
Shimodate AB/Ibaraki Pref. on May 17 1945. This aircraft
includes 2 versions of the 57th tail art.

Ki-84
Hayate Kou flown by Lt. col. Yukiyoshi Wakamatsu, leader of 2nd Chutai,
85th Sentai, Hankou AB/China on December 18 1944. The tailart is
half an arrow head in red with a Japanese character.

Ki-84
Hayate Kou of the 10 Fighter Training Hikoutai, Kita-Ise AB in August
1945. There are white diagonal stripes on the tail.

Ki-84
Hayate Kou flown by W. O. Yojiro Obusa of 50th Sentai, PhnomPenh
AB/Indo-China in April 1945. The tail has 2 Japanese characters
and the rear half of the fuselage has the Sentai mark of a red
lightning bolt and a white fuselage band.

The quality of these decals is of
very good. The decals themselves are clearly printed and in
perfect register.

This sheet includes
a wonderful selection of Ki-84 Hayates and marking and I am quite impressed with
the level of research that has been devoted to this decal sheet.
