This new decal sheet from Wolfpak Decals includes markings for 8 different aircraft including a P-3C AIP, two EP-3E Aries II, C-119L, F-16C+, Su-15TM, EA-7Land an A-10A.

The first aircraft is a P-3C AIP Orion BuNo:162318 with VP-46 Grey Knights at Widbey Island NAS in 2006.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is overall Gloss Gull Gray with big artwork on the tail of an armored hand thrusting the Trident.  The only available kit in this scale is the P-3 kit from Hasegawa.  The instructions go into great detail about the colors used for detail painting (cockpit, wheels wells etc) and the various weapons bay options as well as what is required to update the P-3 Hasegawa kit.

The second aircraft is a EP-3E Aries II or Electronic Intelligence (ELINT Orion) #519 is the reconnaissance variant of the P-3 series.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is overall Gloss Gull Gray and Insignia White with the topside and underside fuselage Electronic pods in Dark Gull Grey.  The artwork on the tail is a black silhouetted item over a red triangle.  The only available kit in this scale is the EP-3E kit from Hasegawa.  The instructions go into great detail about the colors used for detail painting (wheels wells and gear doors etc).  Little is known about the special Electronic pods carried by this aircraft.

The third aircraft is a EP-3E Aries II or Electronic Intelligence (ELINT Orion) #157318 is the reconnaissance variant of the P-3 series.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is overall Gloss Gull Gray and Insignia White with the topside and underside fuselage Electronic pods in Dark Gull Grey.  The artwork on the tail is a black bat.  The only available kit in this scale is the EP-3E kit from Hasegawa.  The instructions go into great detail about the colors used for detail painting (wheels wells and gear doors etc).  Little is known about the special Electronic pods carried by this aircraft.

The fourth aircraft is a C-119L Serial # 53-8087 with Special Operations Squadron of the West Virginia Air National Guard out of Kanawa County Airport in 1971.  Special Operations Missions flown by these aircraft in this wing during and after the Korean War were secretive and included infiltration and exfiltration and resupply of agents in denied territory.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is Matte Black FS 37038 overall.  The only available kit in this scale is the EP-3E kit from Hasegawa.  The instructions go into great detail about the colors used for detail painting (interior colors, seat colors, wheels wells and engine cowling interior etc).

The fifth aircraft is a F-16C+ Serial # 86-0263 is an aircraft that had a night time collision with another F-16 and lost 3 feet of the end of it's right wing but still managed to land safely while the other F-16 was too badly damaged and the pilot was forced to eject to safety.  This aircraft was assigned to the 170th Squadron, 183rd Fighter Wing of the Illinois Air National Guard at Capital Airport in Springfield, Illinois.  The Illinois Air National Guard F-16's have the General Electric F110-GE-100 engines with the big mouth intake.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is the standard F-16 camo with a  blue and yellow Illinois stripe across the top of the tail.

The sixth aircraft is a Su-15TM that is the actual aircraft "Red 17" that shot down Korean Airlines flight 007 on Sept. 1, 1983 with the resulting death of 269 people.  This aircraft was a natural metal finish over all with a green nose and a small green area at the top of the tail.  The instructions include info to assist the modeler on the correct weapons load for the KAL 007 mission as well as info about the colors used for detail painting (interior colors, seat colors, wheels wells and ejection handles etc).  Available kits are the Su-15 from PM Models and Trumpeter.

The seventh aircraft is a EA-7L BuNo:156743 with VAQ-34 at Point Mugu Naval Air Station in the 1980's.  The paint scheme for this aircraft is overall Light Ghost Gray.  Markings include Red star aggressor markings.  The instructions have info to assist the modeler on the correct weapons load plus info about the colors used for detail painting (interior colors, wheels wells and ejection handles etc).  The only available kit for the EA-7L is from Hobbyboss.

The eighth aircraft is a A-10A Serial No 80-0254 with 357 Fighter Squadron, 355 Fighter Wing at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, Arizona.  This aircraft is is painted in the Compass Ghost scheme with a choice of hi viz and lo viz markings.  The instructions include weapons loadouts for each stationas well as info about the colors used for detail painting (interior colors, wheels wells and ejection handles etc).  The available kits are from Academy, Hasegawa, Italeri and Revell of Germany.

The 7 pages of instructions are clear and include multiple views of each aircraft.  I have not included scans of some of the instruction sheets as they only included text but the text is full of helpful detail for scale modellers.  The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet.

I do enjoy seeing the variety of aircraft Wolfpak Decals packs into their decal sheets and this decal sheet includes aircraft that will appeal to most aircraft modellers.
