There is no doubt most folks
like or love jets in the Tiger Meet paint schemes. Jets have had a
variety of Tiger schemes from full blown all-over Tiger Stripes to
something a bit more modest such as a Tiger painted on the vertical
stabilizer. This latest decal sheet from Two
Bobs Aviation Graphics deals
with 6 US F-16's in various Tiger Meet paint schemes from Tiger
Meet Of The Americas in
Aug 2001.

Also included is a CD with
reference photos of the F-16's featured on this decal sheet. The CD is
done in website format, so once you insert the CD into your computer....it
is very much like visiting a website as far as ease of use is concerned.
I like the layout of the CD...simple and straight forward. The CD
includes over 200 images of everything from walkaround photos of markings,
in-flight photos, photos of the people involved in the Tiger Meet program as
well as other photos.

The first plane is an F-16C
with serial number 87-241. This plane is to me what a true
Tiger paint scheme is all about. For me the "all over"
Tiger Stripes look the most visually striking and appealing. The Two
Bobs supply all the Tiger Stripes as decals so it's a pretty simple paint
scheme to do....provided you are patient and take your time to apply the
decals carefully. This plane is from the "Mile High
Militia"
and this script in on the bottom
of the tail. This plane is based on Colorado. Also
included is a decal for the jet intake Plug Markings which is VERY COOL
indeed (great attention to detail by the Two Bobs!!) |

The second plane is an F-16C
serial number 91-0379 and is with the 79th Fighter Squadron.
The paint scheme is a standard F-16 paint scheme with special Tiger
markings on the vertical stabilizer. The Tiger markings on the
tail is a colourful Tiger jumping through the tail with the sheet metal
peeled back where the tiger is jumping through the tail. There is
also a Tiger Stripe along the top of the tail and the text "TIGER
MEET Of The Americas"
along the bottom
of the tail.

The third plane is an
F-16C serial number 85-1045. This plane is with
the Arizona Air National Guard. The paint scheme is the
typical F-16 paint scheme with a small yellow and black Tiger
on both sides of the fuselage behind the canopy with the text
"Los Tigres". The Arizona ANG stripe along the top
of the tail is brightly coloured.
The fourth plane is
an F-16C serial number 85-1045. This plane is with
the Arizona Air National Guard. The paint scheme is the
typical F-16 paint scheme with a small yellow and black Tiger on
both sides of the fuselage behind the canopy with the text "Los

The fifth plane is an F-16C serial
number 87-254. This plane (is on the scan below to the right) and has
the standard F-16 paint scheme with the head of a mountain cat on both sides of
the fuselage behind the canopy. The Colorado stripe along the top of the
tail is in high viz colours. This plane has a tinted front section to the canopy
and clear canopy section behind it.
The sixth plane is an F-16D
serial number 91-480. This plane has the standard F-16 paint scheme
with a Tiger stripe along the top of the tail in high viz colours.
This is one of the most
interesting decal sets I have ever seen. The 5 decal sheets are the usual
high quality and are very clear and up to the Two Bobs usual high standards.
Decals with Tiger Meet markings are not very common, so to find a selection of 6
different planes in various Tiger Meet markings is a very special treat and is
will worth picking up if you have the same interest in Tiger schemes that I do.
Way to go Bob and Bob!!
