--------------------

This decal sheet from The Two Bobs covers 2 different F-16C's from the Nellis AFB Fighter Weapons school.  Both of these F-16C's are called the "Taxi Cab Vipers" due to their Checker Board stripes.

First some info about the decals for both of these F-16C's.  There are enough decals and stencils to do 2 complete models.  The "no step" decals are perfectly readable and clearly printed as are all the markings for both of these jets.  The checker board stripes going around the nose cone area come in 2 decals for easier placement, alignment and fitting.  The paint scheme of these F-16's is a very simple 2 tone grey paint job of FS 36118 dark grey on top and FS 36270 light grey on the bottom.  Also included in the markings for both of these planes are decals for the inside of the nose gear door.  Included on the 2 page colour instruction sheets are 13 colour reference photos for the real planes paint scheme and views of the right side, left side, top and bottom.

The first F-16C on this sheet is a Block 52 jet that has a paint scheme that marks the 50th Anniversary of 57th Wing Fighter Weapons School.  This plane has the most checker board on it of the 2 planes featured on this sheet.  It also has copper coloured text for the "Weapons School 50th Anniversary" on each side of the plane.

This copper coloured text is very well represented on this decal sheet.  Despite all the tiny checkers...this sheet is in perfect register.  Another nice feature of this sheet is the way the crests on the vertical stab come separate from the checker stripe decal to guarantee proper colour for this crest as the under lying checker stripe decal has a white area where the crest decal will go on top.  For weapons, this plane is usually seen carrying an HTS pod.  It's been seen with HARMS on the wing stations and AMRAAM missiles on the wing tips.  The centreline station usually has an ALQ-131 ECM pod.

The second F-16C on this decal sheet is a Block 42 jet that has a paint scheme of a plane that is used for extensive weapons testing.  The markings are straight forward and well laid out in the instruction sheet.  A couple of decals that are a cool addition for the markings for this plane are an intake cover decal (for anyone that wants to make up an intake cover) and checker stripes for the boarding ladder are also included.  Weapons options on this plane are pretty well unlimited as this plane is a test bed for many many weapons systems so any stores under it's wings are possible.

If this decal sheet interests you then you best buy sooner than later as the Two Bobs decals are limited production runs and they do sell out fairly quickly.
