INTRODUCTION.
I bought this kit on eBay a while back at a fair price, sometimes you can get a bargain on that site but buyer beware: sometimes you can get burned. The last thing I bought from eBay was a AM B-25B Doolittle's Raiders (as a matter of fact I bought it from Steve Stohr). Now, on with the show.

BACKGROUND.
I can't add much more than what has already been said about the Zero other than the A6M3 had the clipped-wings also this footnote,A6M3 appeared to be code-named "Hap", hastily changed to "Hamp" because of "Hap" Arnold, USAAF Chief of Staff. Then when it's true identity was appreciated, to Zeke 32.

CONSTRUCTION.
This was pretty much a out of the box build I did however re-scribe the raised panel lines using a "Baremetal foil scribing tool" the trick is not to over do it or apply to much pressure or you will have canyons instead of fine lines. This may be one of Tamiya's older releases but it has stood the test of time, A true classic IMHO.

PAINTING & MARKINGS.
Testors Model Masters enamels over SnJ metalizers, then my secret mix of flattener over Future and a wash of oils. The Decals came with the kit, they were a little out of register but other than that they were OK. I always use Microsol no matter what.

CONCLUSION.
Good books on this aircraft are everywhere my favorite is Imperial Japanese Navy Aces 1937-45 by Henry Sakaida, Osprey Publishing.
