These F4Ds are the 1/72 Tamiya kits built straight from the box. The decals are from SuperScale sheets 72-569 for the USN A/C and 72-186 for the USMC A/C. These were my first Tamiya kits; I was impressed!

I pre-shaded a few panel lines on the tail, A/C spine, dive brakes and A/C bottom. All the panel lines were highlighted with a drafting pencil, and fuel and hydraulic stains were simulated with a light wash of black-green and dark gray. I added a little grime with gray pastel chalk.
