1/32 Tamiya F-4 J    (Part 1)

“Black-Bunny”

by Kai Reckstadt

--------------------

This is part 1 of my article about my model of the Tamiya F-4 J. Everything positive and negative about this kit has already been said by many others.

To improve the model, I used some aftermarket stuff:

  • Eduard-Photoetch-Set
  • Reheat FOD-Covers and RBF-Tags
  • Yellowhammer-Decals for VX-4 Evaluators “Black Bunny”

I also did some scratchbuilding on the:

  • ejection-seats and the cockpit, including wiring of the RIO’s panel
  • wheel-bays and landing-gear struts
  • RBF-covers for numerous hydraulic-cylinders

using the photos of the brilliantly done F-4 S from Pierre Greutert http://imageevent.com/scalephantomphixer/modelling/f4phantom/132f4smag41deta

The finished ejection seats with most of the parts added coming from the eduard-etch-set and scratchbuild leg-remover-belts.
